GOAL:
The Masters Challenge Invitational promotes and encourages the creation of the mostrealistic scale vehicle miniatures possible by inviting the finest scale vehicle modelers to compete in a one-time only, single-class, best-you’ve-ever-built event.
The Challenge is the harbinger of the hobby’s future, the incubator of the hobby’s next age, and the vehicle through which the efforts and accomplishments of today’s premiere innovative builders evolve into tomorrow’s norm. The Challenge is all about stretching the perceived limits of the hobby and defining what’s possible in scale vehicle modeling.
EVENT/DATE/LOCATION:
The Masters Challenge Invitational will be held in October 2011 in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

This event is presented by the International Model Car Builders’ Museum.
COMPETITORS:
All competitors must be specifically invited to compete in The Masters Challenge Invitational by the event administrators. Invited builders are encouraged to recommend additional qualified builders to the event administrators.
Each competitor is also encouraged to issue challenges to other competitors, to e-mailprogress reports on their entry, to encourage other competitors, and to build public interest in the event. Competitors can also upload photos and notes about their entry to The Challenge web site.
PUBLICITY:
This web site will be the primary source of communication for The Challenge. Updates and information about the event will be available on this web site. Each competitor will be requested to provide an e-mail address (if they have one) so that developments and updates can be sent quickly. The Museum, through its newsletters and its web site www.TheModelCarMuseum.org will also promote The Challenge.
In addition, the model car media will be invited to cover the event.
REGISTRATION AND COSTS:
Please read the following fully and carefully.
Early Registration: All completed Entry Forms postmarked by December 31, 2007 must be accompanied by a deposit of $35, which will be credited against the $100 “early registration fee.” The balance of $65 is due on or before March 1, 2011. Competitors also have the option of paying the $100 early
Regular Registration: All entry forms postmarked after December 31, 2007 must be accompanied by an entry fee of $125.00, payable to “Model Car Museum.” All regular entry forms must be postmarked by March 1, 2011 to be eligible to compete. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Once an entry fee has been received, it will not be refunded if the competitor voluntarilywithdraws from The Challenge or if, at the time of the event, the entry is determined to be non-conforming and is not accepted.
Additional Costs: Each entrant (or proxy) will be solely responsible for his or her travel, lodging, food and other expenses in connection with The Challenge. In addition, tickets for the Awards Banquet meal must be purchased.
Cancellation: If the Masters Challenge Invitational is cancelled for any reason other thanas a result of an Act of God, all entry fees will be refunded.
